Day Train
Does my dog get water?
Yes, every dog has access to their own water bucket throughout the day. No dogs share the same bucket to prevent the spread of germs.
What is my dog doing when not doing enrichment or training during the day?
In addition to individual training sessions, each dog gets 1-2 long walks (weather permitting), 1-2 individual or group play or individual play sessions, social group time which focuses on neutrality to other dogs and place proofing.
How often does my dog get a potty break?
Potty breaks are every 3 hours for adult dogs and every hour for puppies.
Does my dog go on long walks?
Yes, there are 1-2 long walks every day in addition to potty breaks.
Is my dog provided with meals?
Meals are only given if provided/requested.
If my dog is not dog social, what are they doing instead of play groups?
If a dog is not dog social and does not take part in group play, they are given individual playtime with a staff member with toys.
Do I need to bring toys?
No, we have lots of toys here to play with.
Can I watch my dog via live feed?
No, we do not provide live feed of the training facility.
Will I receive photos or videos?
We post photos and videos regularly on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. While we try our best to get every dog, we are busy training and walking dogs and therefore not on our phones often. If you ever want to call and check in, we would be happy to provide you with an update.
How do I request day train?
If you are a current and active student (minimum of one group class or private lesson per month), you are welcome to request day train. Please email us: daycare.gooddog@gmail.com
What are your hours for day train?
We are open Monday through Thursday 7:30am-6:30pm and Fridays 7:30am-5:30pm.
What if my dog gets sick during day train?
We will call you and either monitor the situation or ask you to pick up your dog.
Should I bring my dog if they are sick?
No, please keep your dog home if they are sick as it risks the other dogs.
How do I cancel if I cannot make it?
Please call or email us at least 12-hours prior to avoid a charge.
Group Class
Can my whole family attend group class?
Yes, as long as everyone is able to sit quietly and be attentive so as not to distract your dog as well as the other dogs in the class. We recommend having one person work with the dog throughout class to prevent confusion.
Should I bring treats?
Yes, please bring your dog’s favorite treats. We suggest bringing low, medium and high value treat options to class.
How long is Group Class?
Classes are 1-hour long.
How many dogs are in each class?
Puppy and beginner level class have a maximum of 6 dogs. Beginner II, intermediate and advanced classes have a maximum of 8 dogs in class.
Are classes held inside or outside?
Group class is held indoors unless otherwise specified on the schedule.
How do I pay for my group class?
Group Classes are done in packages of 5 or 10. You can pay in person or online via your account.
How do I cancel if I cannot make it?
If you cannot make class, please give us a 12-hour notice or more by calling or emailing us to avoid being charged.
Boarding
Who will my dog be staying with?
Your dog will be staying with a trainer at night. That trainer’s name will be specified on your boarding contract.
Who can I contact with questions about my dog’s board and train stay?
All questions can be directed to the trainer who will be listed on your boarding contract.
What does my dog do during boarding?
Your dog is here at the facility training during the day and goes home with a trainer at night.
Can I request boarding?
You must be a current and active student in order to request boarding. This means that you must be attending a group class or private lesson at least once a month. Returning students must be active for at least two months before requesting boarding.
Will I receive pictures and videos of my dog?
Yes, you can request pictures and videos from your trainer which you can do via your boarding contract.
Where will my dog sleep at night?
All dogs come home with their boarding trainer and are crated overnight. If your dog is not crated at home, they are not eligible for our boarding programs. This is to ensure your dog is comfortable when staying with us.
Will I be given the address of my boarding trainer?
No, staff members do not share their personal home addresses.
When does boarding drop off and pick up happen?
Boarding drop off and pick up happens during normal business hours Monday – Friday. Drop off and pick up on Saturdays is arranged directly with your boarding trainer. On Sundays, we offer one set time slot for boarding pick up. There is no boarding drop off on Sundays.
What happens if I am unable to make the Sunday time slot for pick up?
A friend or family member can come and pick up for you. If space allows it, the option to stay overnight for Monday pick up will be provided.
